All variables that are available to exp:weblog:entries / related_entries should work with Playa.

However, yesterday I was made aware that {categories} does not work, and now this, so I'm going to need to look into these soon.

Try changing your condition to this:

{if {count} == {total_related_entries}}

That would certainly be a good idea... But the {categories} thing needs to work as well, so I'll start with that.

EE must be parsing that before FieldFrame gets to do its work on the template... I'll look into it.

I'm not familiar with the {categories} tag... Is it part of EE, or a 3rd-party add-on? Can you send me the documentation link so I can look into it?

Thanks for the heads up! Looks like FF 1.0.6/7 broke all tag parameters. Fixed now in FieldFrame 1.0.8.
