I had a Jabber and GTalk account with the same credentials. In 1.3.2 I deleted both of them en re-added the GTalk account. It now appears to be solved. For now...

Strangely, it looks that if you ad your credentials as a Jabber account it looks like it's working and when as a Google Talk service it doesn't!
I am using Adium 1.3.2 on OS X 10.5.6 btw
Will give 1.3.1. a try...

@Tijn: You're right. I have removed the connection. I have had no luck at all syncing with Soocial and have decided to not spend any time trying until Soocial has become more mature. – Breggol, on August 26, 2008 12:14

I'm having difficulty in getting Soocial and Gmail synced. After the initial sync and some help from Tijn @ Soocial, I now have a de-duped set of contacts that has not synced with Gmail since.

Can anyone @ Soocial re-enable my sync?

I am only syncing my Gmail contacts with my Soocial account. No other sync for now. I am doing this on purpose, so nothing is troubling the cause.
Guys, it really looks like Soocial or Google is automagically creating contacts. It wasn't me.

Extra contacts? Do you mean people you don't know or duplicate contacts?

Duplicates again! It looks like people without an email address and only one phone number (that come from my mobile phone, of course). Some of these have been recreated (by Soocial?) about 2 or 3 times.

Sorry for the delay. I has been very nice weather in the NL, so I have not been sitting behind my Mac a lot.
The merge in Soocial had taken place. However, it now looks like I have 400+ extra contacts (from 1000 to 1400) in my address book. Consider this ticket as closed, however.

After the initial sync with Gmail into an empty Soocial account, a lot of contacts (600 of 1200!) show up twice in Soocial. These are really simple contacts: they have a name, company and only one email address.

1. Can you please fix the bug?
2. Will the auto-merge eventually make these disappear?

I do no longer have to look at David's leather jacket at all. This issue is solved, gratefully. However. I noticed that A LOT of my contacts show up twice in the contacts list. I will browse the support forums to see how and why. For now: guys (any galls there?) thanks so far.

2. Press the 'Clear Soocial's cache for my account' button (second button)
3. Go back to your contacts list: https://www.soocial.com/contacts
