I posted that I also had this problem but now found that by turning off my moving ad blocker "Muncher" my site can be edited. Perhaps other blockers cause similar problems.

Unable to connect at this time, please try again later. I see many have this problem listed on google help forums and I saw no solution so far. I know it has nothing to do with a connection and so "trying again later" will not help. Is there a work around?
