Thanks for responding. I realise you might not want to give away all the details but it would make the metric much more meaningful if you could make it more transparent.

By which I just realised, I really meant the Social Rank algorithm. I'm trying to figure out what the relationship is between frequency of mentions, last mention, and number of sources, but cannot. I would really like to use the social rank but cannot do in any meaningful way until/unless I know how it's being calculated. You can say "we use frequency, recency, tenure... and some other stuff" (like Twittergrader for example) but you do need to say something about this at least. Unless I'm really missing something here?
