chrome hangs when streaming video!i'm running a 2.4GHz pentium 4 with windows XP home edition SP3 with 1GB or RAM. i downloaded google chrome and encountered problems when streaming video and playing flash content. for example, streaming a video from youtube will cause the whole browser, not just the tab, to lock up for up to a few seconds. alt tabing away from this window will cause the flash plugin to crash. this is a very frustrating problem for me because it is the only thing stopping me from making chrome my default browser. i have tested this to see if it maybe wasn't the browser but IE7 seems to play the youtube clips with no problems. sometimes the only thing that happens on chrome is the video will freeze (along with the whole browser) but the sound will keep playing. once the browser recovers, the video plays at double speed until it 'catches up' with the sound. Please look into this!! Chrome is a really awesome browser and i would like for it to be my default

The Now playing list will play the songs it contains and when the list is depleted, music will be played from the normal library. i always have shuffle on when i play music. To recreate this:
play a song
add a few songs into the now playing list
let songbird play through the list
After the list is finished, songbird will play a random song from the library

ok i've tested it out in 0.7.0 and songbird plays the songs in the playlist but then just stops. the now playing add on has one up on the normal playlists because at least the music keeps playing. it would be nice if songbird knew that the content in the playlists are in the library and that once the playlist has been played through it could just keep playing from the library

yes it is using the Now playing list. i suppose i should talk to the author of the add on then. i have been using 0.7.0 since it was released and i haven't have it shuffle randomly yet. when i say i created a play queue, i mean that i right click on the file and click "add to queue". i have noticed (on 0.7.0) that when i play songs out of the now playing list and the list is exhausted songbird will jump back to the artist that was first played in the list and then play through that artist in chronological order instead of playing from through the songs by the artist that was played last in the play queue. i'm not certain if this problem persists with the playlists that are part of songbird and not the play queue. i will investigate further and report back here.-

i also have this problem. i'm running the release candidate 3 on windows XP Sp3 on a 2.4 Ghz (single core) pentium 4 with 1 gig of ram. songbird uses around an average of 10% of my CPU during playback (and doing nothing else. not even moving mouse pointer) and never drops below using 120MB. i always have it on shuffle and so clicking 'next track' causes it to use about 90% CPU and about 135 MB. i have a very small library (1500 songs) and other than windows live i almost never run other programs while using songbird.-

play queue troublesi use the queue function alot. i have noticed that when you add songs to the play queue it treats them as a seperate playlist which is fine but what would be nice is if after the last song (in the play que), songbird would play the next song in the library (assuming shuffle is off). at the moment what it does (when shuffle is off) is it will play through the queue and then play the song that was after the song that before the queue was created. does that make sense? here's an example:
i play song A (which is in the library and not the new playlist that is created by the queue)
during song A i add a few songs to the queue: L, K, Z, and D
what i would like is for songbird to play through the queue and upon completing D i would expect it to play song E. instead it plays song B. this is frustrating especially if you make a long cue and expect it to carry on playing the artist of the last song in the queue and it doesn't.
please consider this. i'l help however i can.

What does this error message mean?today i got this error message:
"A resource error occurred: Invalid URI "songbird-medialist://addfda5f-98ee-47dc-ad1f-b3a36eee7975/f95c112e-d425-4329-95aa-4597a8999669".
Would you like to view additional help for configuring GStreamer?"
what does this mean and why am i getting it? i didn't notice anything. i think songbird couldn't play a song and skipped it but it didn't crash or do anything out of the ordinary. rather confusing...

songbird shuffles when shuffle is offi'm using 0.7 Rc2 and am running windows xp home edition sp3. here's how i came across this problem. firstly i turned shuffle off. then i played a song. i then added a few songs to the play queue. i expected songbird to play the last song in the queue and then just keep playing the other tracks down the library in order. what i noticed was that it jumbed up to an artist further up the list (my library) and started playing from there and then resumed playing in order. this has happened a few times to me and i have no idea what causes it. i'm not playing it from a special playlist or have any filters on. shuffle and repeat functions are both off. it should just play the song that i select and then keep playing down the list. its a little annoying to have it jump like this.
while writing this comment songbird did it again. the first artist i was expecting songbird to play through was "Demon Hunter". it played about 3 songs and then jumped up to "Breaking Benjamin". it played 2 songs (in chronological order) and then jumped to "Brisby and Jingles". it seems to be shuffling songs even though shuffle is off
