Brent replied on June 05, 2008 02:38 to the problem "My Website willl not load properly!" in Yola:
Hey Ryansarcade,
I suspect that this problem is being caused by the width of your AdSense unit. Browsers deal with width and overflow differently which is why things look OK in Firefox but not so good in Internet Explorer.
Could you use a narrower AdSense unit? Let us know if that solves the problem for you.

Brent replied on May 25, 2008 21:23 to the question "Any ideas for a simple site search box ?" in Yola:
Hey John,
Google offers a neat service whereby you can embed a Google Search Box into your page that will search and display results from your website in your website. It's a reasonably simple setup process and it is well documented at http://www.google.com/coop/cse/.
We are keen to build this function directly into SynthaSite but you may as well use this until we get around to doing so.
I'd love to see how what you come up with. Please let me know if this works for your requirements.

Hey Stuart,
I'm sorry that you are experiencing this difficulty. I've had a look at your site and have refreshed various pages numerous times. I have however not seen the problem that you are describing.
You have built a great site and I'd hate it if it did not appear correctly to every user. Please take a screenshot when you next see the problem and email it to us as at support@synthasite.com. This will be really helpful in terms of debugging the problem.

I'm glad that you heard about us and that you are experimenting with SynthaSite. I would love to know how long it takes you to post a website once we have resolved your problem.
It seems as if GoDaddy does support PHP/Windows on their shared hosting plan although it is run in safe mode. I'm not sure what the impact of this will be or if this is related to your problem. I'll see what I can find out and get back to you soon. Note that this facility has been deprecated by GoDaddy and that they no longer provide technical support for this. See http://help.godaddy.com/topic/107/art....
In the meantime you may want to consider hosting the site with SynthaSite. You can still use your own domain and the setup process is quite straightforward. You can access this option from the Publishing -> Publishing Settings menu.

These are the steps to upload your files into SynthaSite:
1) Open your site
2) Go to the Site Manager page. You can access this from the "View" menu.
3) Select the "Manage Files" option, then click the "upload" button.
4) You can now select the files that you want to upload to your synthasite by clicking the browse button. If you want to upload more than one file at a time, you can click the "More upload slots" link. Click OK once you have chosen the files that you want to upload.
This will upload files to your site and you will then be able to use them in the Image Widget.

Hey Ben,
Glad to hear that you are enjoying SynthaSite and thanks for being the first to join our new forum!
What type of email service would you like to see in SynthaSite? Are you hoping for a personal email address or are you looking for a newsletter management system?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually. It can also be used to keep the content on your website updated without having to manually edit your page.
SynthaSite's RSS Reader widget allows you to pull content into your page from external websites. Once you have added the widget to the page, click the "Edit Properties" button on the widget. Then, click the "Edit Link" button on the Propertysheet. This will pop up a dialog that will allow you to enter the URL of the RSS feed that you want to display.
SynthaSite will have new RSS features in the coming weeks and months. Once we have released our blogging solution, readers will be able to subscribe to your blog via your own personal blog RSS feed.
We also intend to allow you to publish your development activity via an RSS feed so that your friends and contacts can keep up to date with any changes you make to your site.
