Kristina, I appreciate the link to creating a page on Facebook. I was just concerned that if I administer to my employers page while having a personal page on my own would get my personal page booted. I should be OK since all I'll be doing is managing and posting things strictly for them. Don't ya think?

Dave, as normal, how quickly you reply to these is amazing. And I will look in the Gizmo software, look for echo compression levels, hope I find it, make some test calls and then pray.

The company I work for has heard that having a Business Facebook page is a smart thing to do. Since I have a personal Facebook page they have asked me to head up one for their business. I did some research on Facebook about this and now I'm concerned. Does this mean that I will be administering to two Facebook pages and that I may lose my personal one?

I am using Gizmo5 as my VoIP "phone" for my TalkShoe calls. Recently, my co-host was out of town and I was on Gizmo (dialed into TalkShoe) and he was on his cellphone. Whenever he spoke, he echoed like crazy. I had to turn down my output on my sound board to stop it, but then I couldn't hear him and he couldn't hear me. So I'm guessing that his audio was coming into my computer through Gizmo and heading back out as my audio output. How do I keep this from happening?

I work for a company in the mail order/internet flower bulb industry. Sometimes we get calls from people, who (no offense to any of our customers) don't really think their problem through before they call and ask what ends up being a fairly silly question. Dave, I've just done that to you.

Come to find out, my settings for my test call series is set that anyone calling in automatically stays muted! That explains why I couldn't hear her...because she was flippin' muted!

I'm sorry for wasting your time. And if anyone is following this, I'm sorry. I feel like a moron....but you get use to it after a while! :)

TalkShoe On Demand...a one way or two way conversation?

I have tried to run a test call utilizing TalkShoe's new On Demand setup. I called in and had a colleague also call in. When I spoke, she heard me, but when she spoke, I didn't hear her. I thought maybe it was because I hadn't started the recording process. I keyed in the entry to start recording, I heard the usual "TalkShoe..Recorded Live!" But nothing was different. She heard me but I couldn't hear her? Is there something I'm missing? Or.......?

Dave, this did help! Although I still can't connect using ShoePhone, I saw in the link where you mentioned Gizmo. I downloaded it, set it up, and "called" into TalkShoe with the 123@(ipaddress) number. I did a test recording on my Unlisted Call Series, where I usually run tests, and it sounded great!

I can't connect to ShoePhone!

I get an error message when I try to connect using ShoePhone. I have a Linksys router, cable modem (6G up/down), and Windows XP Home. My firewall has the application on the exception list. Any advice?

I am having the same problem with my PC (XP). Firewall is allowing access, but I still get the same error message that Peter got. I have cable internet access, 6G up and down, so speed isn't a problem. I noticed somewhere that Firefox was a problem for Macs....Could this be the problem for my PC?
