Same problem, can't find an itunesexporterrors.txt in my AppData\Roaming\Songbird2 folder (or deeper).
For giggles I ran the songbirdupdateagent.exe file in my Songbird installation folder, and it seems to exit immediately -- it doesn't appear in my process list.
Windows 7 x64 (not the most ideal platform to develop against)

A comment on the problem "Songbird plays ghost song in background: Mashtape is culprit" in Songbird:
I can confirm this stops the ghost song from playing. I'd rather keep my internet though, lol. Hopefully this helps the devs.
I also don't think I have the song in the background. Kind of catchy though... – Brett, on May 22, 2009 21:23
Brett reported a problem in Songbird on May 22, 2009 17:05:
Songbird plays ghost song in background: Mashtape is culpritWhenever I play a song from the band 'Okkervil River' I notice about 5-10 seconds into it that it plays another song in parallel, not from the same band (I don't recognize them, but I have a big library). It seems to always be this same song.
If I hit pause, the ghost song keeps playing. If I check Windows Audio Mixer, which shows me audio levels for open programs, it is in fact coming from Songbird. And when I close Songbird, it stops. I've tried reopening Songbird and also rebooting.
It seems to only happen to this one band. And when I change the song to another Okkervil River song, the ghost song restarts. If I change to a different band, the ghost song doesn't play anymore.
Running 1.1.2 1042
EDIT: This just started happening recently. I have many plays from this band and it's just something I noticed this morning when I woke up. I probably played the band yesterday, and it didn't happen.
