Another oft missed feature of tiling window managers is the ability to shift focus between applications sharing one 'space' in apple parlance using the keyboard. While there's ways to do so inside Terminal (and possibly other apps that i don't know about), and while you can do so between all apps using Cmd-Tab, there's no way to do so between multiple apps on the same 'space' that I'm aware of.

For those of us used to tiling window managers, an oft missed feature is the ability to maximize an app within the allocated pane. In SizeUp terms, this would mean maximizing up/down or left/right, resulting in either a tall window taking up 50% of the screen or a wide window taking up 50% of the screen. (or whatever ratio is defined in the dimensions prefs)
