Hi,
Setting up a connection to a Wells Fargo account should be a matter of taking the following steps:
1) select the account in Moneydance
2) click the Online->Setup Online Banking button/menu
3) click the "New Connection" button and select Wells Fargo from the list of banks
4) click the "Next" button to select the account in Moneydance that should be connected (from step #1)
5) The next step depends on the configuration of the Wells Fargo service, but I believe you will be asked to enter your routing number and account number, which should have been provided to you by Wells Fargo.

Please also keep in mind that your account at Wells Fargo should be enabled for direct OFX connections. Since your customer service representative likely won't know about Moneydance, ask them to configure the account to allow direct connections from Quicken 2008. Because Moneydance uses the same protocols, it will work just fine. Once your account is enabled for direct ofx connections they will issue you a password and userid. It may or may not be the same as the id you use to login to their website.
