We were getting them as moderation emails instead of them just being deleted The email option is turned off now, perhaps that was bypassing the filter? We had to do something, it was generating 20-50 emails a day

In my observation the spam control has gotten worse lately not better. Even the configuration to delete posts with certain words doesn't work. How is it possible for a spam filter to miss this?

The parent pom will always build first so it's available to the children. Therefore if you want to make an assembly of the children, it can't be bound there. The better way would be to make a new module with pom packaging as a sibling of the other modules. List the other modules as dependencies and then this will always run after the other ones and you'll be able to get your assembly.

The log says your jdk doesn't like this option:

Remove it from wrapper.conf and you should be fine.

Make sure a jdk java.exe is on your path. The parameters we set by default require a jdk not just a jre. If you don't want a jdk, then remove the java params in wrapper.conf (i think it's the memory -XX ones that it doesn't like)

Yes, that's a typo. Everything in the repository is an artifact, even poms can be artifacts at times. A plugin is simply a type of artifact with a special packaging type of "maven-plugin" which during build time triggers a special lifecycle for things like processing the annotations and inserting a descriptor into the jar so Maven knows how to invoke it.

It will effectively reindex each repo in the group and then merge the resulting indexes and publish it on the group url.

If you want maven to make any requests to Nexus for snapshots, then you need to enable at least one snapshot repository. You could add another repository besides central, but since it's embedded by default, we just enable snapshots for it and let Nexus deal with it. Nexus is smart enough to not request releases from snapshot repositories and vice versa. This is just a trick to get Maven to request everything and the mirror settings direct it to Nexus.

you can set wrapper.debug=true in the wrapper.conf and it will print out the exact command line so you can try eliminating options.

What jdk are you using? Clearly the jvm doesn't like the parameters being passed to it, which is something i haven't seen before.

Can you paste your wrapper logs?

There seems to be an issue with the 64bit jsw binaries. Give the 32 bit ones a try.

Actually, unless you are in a shared unix environment, you shouldn't edit the /conf/settings.xml. You should instead copy or create a new settings in your $HOME/.m2/settings.xml. Then you never have to worry about moving it around when you upgrade maven, or if you have multiple versions installed.
