    Brianna Mewborn
    Hi there!

    We actually don't recommend copying and pasting from Word or Works into the TypePad editor, as it can transfer with it some malformed code that can disrupt your blog's display and even corrupt your feed.

    The best way to add images to a blog post, so that they appear side-by-side, is to use the Custom option when inserting an image, and set the image to "Float Left". Then, click the Insert Image again and choose your image. Set the image to "Float Left". Repeat this for each image you want to appear on the same horizontal line. Once the visible/usable space is used up on a single line, they'll automatically drop to the next line. To maximize the number of images for each line, you'll want to select the "small" or "medium" option for the images.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Ondrej!

    Are you using TypePad Connect by any chance? Some users have reported that the comment form doesn't display for them in certain browsers if they're using TypePad Connect. Disabling this, at Blog > Settings > Comments, allows the comment form to return by using the default commenting system (which is great, because the default system now has a lot of the same features as TypePad Connect!).

    If this is not the case, would you mind sharing your blog URL so that we can take a peak and provide you additional information?

    A comment on the question "CSS Hover Code for Navigation Bar... Question" in Six Apart:

    Brianna Mewborn
    Hi Dresden! Are you trying to change the text color or the background color of the list item when hovered over?

    To change the background-color: .nav-list-item a:hover { background-color: #ffffff; }

    To change the color of the text, however: ..nav-list-item a:hover { color: #ffffff; }

    Does that work for you? – Brianna Mewborn, on May 09, 2009 00:37

    Hi Susan! Thank you, so very much, for your detailed explanation of how you switched out the default module text for something a whole lot snazzier. You did a great job, and this is a perfect example of users helping users--one of our hopes for implementing Get Satisfaction. :)

    The only thing I want to point out is that the result you show, of the Recent Posts list, doesn't match the code that you've screenshot. The code you've captured is to display an image above your Categories list, while the finished result/output is for Recent Posts. Just an FYI to some of our other users who may want to do this as well.

    If you have any questions in the future, we'll meet you here or in the ticket queue! :)

    p.s. your blog design is gorgeous and I absolutely adore the image you've created for "Recent Posts".

    Hi Larry! Thanks for bringing this up. We're looking into developing a feature like this, so we appreciate your throwing your request out there. There are workarounds you could use, however. For example, if you are a Plus or Pro user, you have the option of having anywhere from 3 (Plus) to Unlimited (Pro) blogs. You can create additional blogs under your account, then publicize the information you want password protected to the additional blog. From there you can password protect that blog, limiting who has access to the private content.

    Brianna Mewborn replied on February 05, 2009 07:24 to the problem "Maybe I'm seeing things, but why do my headings look different?" in Six Apart:

    Brianna Mewborn
    Hi there! I'm not sure what, exactly, you are referring to when you say "headings", but what I'm seeing is that the nav-bar links on nancykingsearch.com are set to bold, whereas nksloop.com are not. Additionally, the titles of your posts on nancykingsearch.com is using Helvectica/Large/Normal, whereas nksloop.com is using Trebuchet MS/Large/Normal, so you're going to see a difference there as well.

    You can change these settings at Weblogs > Design > Theme Builder.

    If you need additional help, please don't hesitate in opening a Support Ticket and we'll be able to provide the support you need. (To open a help ticket, go to Control Panel > Help > New Ticket)
