Saving order of groups in page view?Ok so I'm loving the new page view. The issue I have is that when you use the little arrows to reorder the groups, that isn't saved. When I refresh the page, the groups go back to their original order.
The order of items within the groups IS saved though.
EDIT: I made an example drop (http://drop.io/pageviewtest) to illustrate this. (Warning, shameless Obama plug)
EDIT2: Found this other thread here (http://getsatisfaction.com/dropio/top...). Addresses the issue with a company promise to fix. Disregard this.
A comment on the idea "Show all movies as an entity and not split movie files and folders." in boxee:
IMDB Rank is a good one that I hadn't thought of. I think that IMDB rank and year make more sense as "sort by" options (all your movies in order of release year...) but Genre and Awards make sense as filter options. – brittohalloran, on January 01, 2009 19:16

Fantastic. I knew Boxee was better than that. Can't wait. – brittohalloran, on January 01, 2009 19:14

This is a great idea.
Obviously this requires a lot more work than most of the ideas on this site, but this is really where I'd like to see Boxee go.
Key features to make this work:
-Automatic playing of stuff from everywhere (hulu, tv library, etc)
-Thumbs up, thumbs down like Pandora
-Different channels (comedy, action, reality)
Is Boxee considering integrating live TV at any time? That would be a major undertaking but I just wanted to get an idea of the big picture.-

Have a "To Watch" listI, er, ummm, obtain a lot of movies, usually faster than I have time to watch them. Since I have a massive movie library, I'd like a way to mark movies "To Watch", and a way to see that smaller list. It's way too overwhelming to sit down and try to pick a movie by scrolling through 200 of them. 20 movies that I've been meaning to watch would be much more pleasant.
A comment on the idea "Navigation suggestions" in boxee:
Yes but there is a "back" also. For example: your in Settings and you use the left side menu to go to Movies. If you hit "back" (same as the delete key) you'll go back to Settings. If you hit "up" (ESC key) you'll go to the home screen.
I think "up" makes more sense. – brittohalloran, on December 30, 2008 08:33

A comment on the idea "Navigation suggestions" in boxee:
I agree, if by "back" you mean "up".
Menu - Up, same as ESC key
Play - Select, same as Enter key
I actually just checked and this IS what the current behavior is (nice job Boxee)
I think some of the confusion comes from the fact that the side menu is always left. This is different than a lot of conventional navigation systems, but once you get it, its very intuitive and its implemented consistently. I still think the Boxee icon in the left menu needs to be selectable and take you to the home screen. – brittohalloran, on December 30, 2008 08:18
