If you scroll down to the very bottom of the blog, you see a tiny grey line of text that says this:
Smashing Theme is created by: Design Disease brought to you by Smashing Magazine.
This might help you if you're trying to set up a blog on Word Press.
While it's true you won't be able to run a blog exactly like this on a wiki, I'm sure you could play around with the formatting of your wiki, or have someone help you, and create something similar, maybe even better!

They can't do this. The Daily Peanut does not, and cannot, run on a PBwiki. It is a WordPress blog, and has features and functions that cannot even remotely be supported by any wiki, including PBwiki. You can, however, visit WordPress.com and set up your own blog there, and link back to it on your wiki.

pbwiki blog templateI really like the Peanut blog, and to create a blog within the wiki is a daunting task. It would be wonderful if you would save "The Peanut" as a blog template. Please?

The short answer is "Yes. [Some assembly required]"
We have an AuthAPI that allows for delegation of a wiki's authentication to a third party web service, such as your own. Due to the way it works, this web service can even be behind your firewall without the need to open up a special hole for PBwiki.
https://api.pbwiki.com/AuthApi has all the nitty-gritty specifications as well as some sample code for authenticating against PBwiki with Active Directory.
Bruce asked a question in PBwiki on February 08, 2008 17:07:
hi. is it possible to authenticate users via active directory? how about against a list contained in a file?I have a large number (500 or so) users to communicate with and authenticating via active directory would be ideal. if that is not possible can I authenticate against a user list in a lookup table that is updated daily?
