Along with all sorts of other weirdness... like:

- people you're Not following showing on your Home stream
- people being listed Twice on your following list

I solved this problem for myself just now...

After fiddling with it.... and even uninstalling the Foxmarks add-on, and reinstalling it again...

I still had the problem.

Then, finally, I noticed that under ADVANCED --> SERVER, "Use Own Server" was checked (ON).

I never selected that... But un-checking that box, fixed my problem.

(1) How odd that it was on by default.

(2) How odd that the error was not specific, like: "Own Server Field Blank" or something.

I copied to my clipboard.... the portion that was actually posted.... just to measure it...

And it seems like it cut it off at APPROXIMATELY 1562 CHARACTERS.

On my iPhone, I can send an email TO my SMS.... Using this old email address.... 6465552195@mobile.mycingular.com (where 646-555-2195 is your phone number)

HOWEVER, from the iPhone you cannot send SMS message TO an email address.

HOWEVER, on Treo and many other phones, I believe you CAN send an SMS to an email address --- like your Ping.fm Post by Email address... – Bruce Wagner, on November 16, 2008 14:12

What if you created a separate Twitter account... linked it to your cell phone...

Then, took the RSS feed from that Twitter account, and fed it through http://RSSFWD.com to your Twitter "Post by Email" account...

THEN....

Just SMS post to THAT Twitter account... Then via its RSS feed, RSSFWD would email post to Ping...

Would that work?

Posting to Blog ( @b ) via Post by Email.... always TRUNCATES my blog posts. It seems to have a character limit for posting blog items via email.... :(

Thanks. Trying again now with my number NOT withheld...

By the way, Spinvox should tell you by voice prompt that it will not work if calling from a withheld number. (I had forgotten I had it set to withheld.)

Also...

What happens if the message is more than 140 characters in length?

How long is the delay in transcribing the message to text?
