Bruno replied on November 24, 2009 13:17 to the problem "Unreliable "Close All" command" in Balsamiq:
I had this problem too. If I have a lot of files open, it somtims doesn't close all files. If I open a lot of files which ar read-only (because i didn't check them out) and want to close all, the question if I would like do save the file apears (maybe another problem, after exporting as PDF the files are going to "changed status" even if I haven't changed a thing). After answering this question with "don't save", the closing stops. I hav to start "close all" again until the next file want's to be saved...
I would expect, that the closing of the files continues and the saving questions pops up for every file (a checkbox "use this action for all elements" would be even better).
Maby this gives a hint on what the problem could be. For me it's not a major issue but it's a little annoying.

Thanks for adressing this issue. I tried it out. My problem with not having a viewer would be resolved with this. I really like it.

I use Balsamiq-Mockups for Dektop for a few months now. Since I'm very happy with it I recomended it to others in the team. But they had the requirement to give the mockups to the customer, so the customer can click through the linked mockups an give there comments. So they desided not to use Balsamiq-Mockups :-( In other words, this is a very critical feature in the evaluation process for a Mockup-Tool. I read that you know how importet such a feature is and just wanted to say so again. I'm hoping ther will soon be a viewer.
By the way: I tried the vi.to programm but without success, so I'm looking forward to a solution of this problem...

Bruno reported a problem in Balsamiq on October 21, 2009 15:07:
duplicate element insteade of follow a linkHi there,
I really like the mor or less new feature to follow a link in design-mode by pressing the ALT-Key. This works well. But i have one big problem: to me it happens very often that I dont follow the link but duplicate the element that includes the link. You might say, that i have to click to the blue arrow...well i try but...you know, when I work fast somtimes I miss that litle arrow.... Id would be great if duplikate would only work if I drag the element for a bit mor then nothing...or to use a diffent Key for the "follow link" feature...

Hi there
I'm dealing with the same problem and I can't see a way too get back to my "lost" object. My first Idea was also a List (or dropdownbox). This would allow to select the "lost" object even if it isn't visible and then edit it and bring it to front in the usual way. This would have another advantage: I often need to insert a link on items which don't support linking. I do that by using a rectangle without border and 100% opacity. This means, I cant select objects below this invisible rectangles. With a dropdownbox including all objects i would be able to select such objects.
If it would be possible to change the layer by changing the order in the list, this would be even better. Either way, I can't see a way without a list or dropdownbox.
If there is a larger number of objects of the same kind, it would be a problem to distinguish the objects. If the list would use the text tiped in the objects (the ones wich can have text) would be helpfull. Else it would be necessary to give each object a name...that, I think, would be outside the range of an "easy tool".
best regards
