sorry, I was confusing RT others with people RT'ing me. Clearly comparing it to my followers usernames makes no sense. I suppose the value would be in comparing my username to the most common way clients RT for users.

    Retweetable
Retweetable? If I'm writing a post I specifically want people to RT, I'd like to know how retweetable the post is. Compare the free characters in my post against my followers username length and keep a running tally of "x of y of your followers can easily RT this post"...

Otherwise my followers will have to edit down my post to RT

video playback on ubuntu too fast when resuming from pause
I just updated to jaunty and after hearing people talk about boxee's latest release for ubuntu being better, thought I'd try it. I still have the problem with video playback. I start a video and it plays correctly. If I pause the video, then resume playback, the playback runs at about double speed with no audio.

This and a few other glitches always push me back to plain old browser and vlc.

getting boxee product new releases on ubuntu
I installed boxee on ubuntu a few months back. I can't recall if it was just a .deb file I downloaded or whether I added a source that apt-get will use to proactively pull down updates.

I suppose my question is, what's the most effective way to keep my boxee installation up to date over time, on ubuntu?

proxying boxee using tsocks on ubuntu
for various reasons I won't bother detailing, it helps to be able to proxy a service like boxee. The main reason I'm not using boxee heavily is because of this. I can easily use something like tsocks to start up firefox and run it entirely over an ssh session. When I start boxee using tsocks, however, boxee doesn't seem to think it can even connect to the internet.
