A comment on the idea "Posterous could be the TwitPic for Laconica based systems with very little work!" in Posterous:
I've started a spec for this, for something that Evan has been calling Flickr lite.
its a API for 3rd party media sites to integrate both ways with a StatusNet server.
more to come soon – (``-_- ́ ́) BUGabundo, on November 12, 2009 16:01

A comment on the idea "support StatusNet servers" in Tweepi:
Hi Amer, thanks for your reply.
StatusNet (http://status.net/) is an Open Source and Federated (decentralized) microblogging framework implemented on OpenMicroBlogging specs (http://openmicroblogging.org/)
The current public network is estimated to have around 300k accounts, with identi.ca being the biggest one with ~80k accounts.
I'm just one of their biggest users, but I'll ask staff members to join on this ticket to reply to any further technical questions you may have.
You can also contact support via admin@identi.ca or on IRC #statusnet @ irc.freenode.net
Thanks in advance, and I'll be hopping to see tweepi support us. – (``-_- ́ ́) BUGabundo, on November 05, 2009 09:31

Latitude for eventsI had this idea:
it would be interesting to have "Latitude for Events", ie, users could somehow subscribe to an event and show the place location, and of those who are coming, allowing also the creation of a website to list this info.
This would allow temporary access to users location, without the need of permanent share with non-friends.

gmail is replacing outgoing email address when using CaseSensitive FromsI have several email address set up as valid outgoing emails on one of my Google Apps account.
Today I noticed, by getting a bounce to a Mailinglist, that the outgoing email was wrong.
I did a few tests, and noticed that what causing it was, the email client profile for that mailinglist having a Case Sensitive email address on the From field.
I.e, it was Laconica@mydomain.com
using laconica@mydomain.com works fine.

We would appreciate if any mentions your app/service has to Laconica (or even Identica) be migrated to the new brand, on your next release.
Thanks for your understanding.
