Hi Thomas,
I tried to drag single files and folders several times and to several places.
E.g.: drag a .pdf file into My Files\Documents.
The cursor does not change from
Certainly as I release the mouse button, nothing happens.
I noticed it after installing a newer Windows 7. But I am not sure if it is related to it. Version: 6.1.7600
Wuala is the newest: 246.
Trading storage works fine.
Drag and drop worked too, on my previous Windows 7. That was some beta version.
Anyhow, I already decided to switch back to Vista, so if it was only me having this problem then it does not matter anymore.

OK, I do not think that it is only about dates. Yes, it is 22nd of October. But it does not mean that the Wuala Team is going to release a new version on 23rd with filesystem integration. At least that sounds quite improbable to me.
I believe that they are working on it very hard - and not just sitting doing nothing and watching the calendar.

You are mistaken.
I have been using Windows 7 with Wuala for a while. Certainly filesystem integration never worked - we all know about this. That is why we were told to use drag and drop instead. I do not know in which post I read it, but I remember this recommendation: Until filesystem integration is ready, use drag and drop!
And it _used to work_ under Windows 7. Yes!!
This problem might be an isolated one. Maybe others do not have this. I do not say that it is Wuala's fault. But I am curious if others have this problem too.

Drag and drop does not work under Windows 7?Drag and drop used to work under XP, Vista and Windows7.
Now using Windows 7 and this feature does not work anymore.
I do not have more detailed information, but maybe others do.
File menu / Add Folder and Add Files works.
I tried drag and drop from Windows Explorer and from Total Commander.-

bunda replied on June 18, 2009 18:07 to the question "Why does Wuala display hundreds of unrelated files in search results?" in Wuala:
oops.
I searched for the word "kosár" and it gave totally unrelevant results like a wallpaper image with the name "River-sculpted Rocks, Lower Rogue River, Oregon "
and "Cathedral Rocks Reflects in Red Rock Crossing, S"
and "room1999"
and a clear text file "readme.txt" that does not contain the word "kosár"
It must be because of the "á".
Similar results with other words.
When searching "kosar" then no results at all.
Some people would suggest not to use accent marks in filenames, but it is not a problem on Windows and I do not want to rename my 1000+ photos that I uploaded

A comment on the question "Why does Wuala display hundreds of unrelated files in search results?" in Wuala:
Ha-ha-ha! :) What a great explanation!
If a search engine works like that then what is the sense in it?
Does Google work like that or does any desktop search application work like that? If so then how can we ever find what we are looking for?
I have to admit that I am not an expert on this but desktop search applications know how to search different file types. I believe Wuala will get better in this too. – bunda, on June 18, 2009 16:58

bunda reported a problem in Wuala on May 20, 2009 09:07:
Update modified file directly - "Cannot create"?Happens occasionally:
I open a small plain text file (151B) in notepad using filesystem integration.
Try to save the modified file (Ctrl+S)
The following message appears:
"Cannot create the ...\WualaTemp\Export\filename-1.txt"
This is the main problem.
Further experience:
It adds "-1" to the end of the original file name.
Now I close the file without saving it and open it in the Wuala client - to avoid the FSI problem.
But the same error message appears.
I even tried to save the file as "filename-1" in the WualaTemp folder - offered by notepad as the working folder of the file - hoping that it will automatically upload the modified file when it is possible. Again, the same error message appeard.
I have to restart Wuala and open the file again to be able to update it.
offtopic feedback
I use Wuala becuase of two features: it allows me to offer my unnecessary local disk space for more online storage; and because of filesystem integration.
IMO trading storage is the greatest idea recently on the Internet. Thanks!

Filesystem integration: "Please remove the write protection" when copying several filesGenerally the filesystem integration works on my vista.
But every time I copy several (20-50) files to my wuala space, I get "Please remove the write protection" in Total Commander.
I hit "Retry" and it continues copying and stops again after a few files.
****** Many times the whole system does not respond for 2-5 minutes. ******
I understand that I can use the wuala client to copy large files but when I need to compare the source and the target folders and hundreds of files then it is much more complicated that way.
Is it because some cache gets full? Is there a way to avoid this problem?
The local cache size is set to 100GB!
