I have to concur here. The broadcast messages are also hard to read because there's so much header and footer information. I feel like most people will likely hit delete rather than wade through all the irrelevant crud in the messages.

Also, don't limit the characters in a broadcast message!

    Export guest lists
It would be great if I could export guest lists for an event, as our venues sometimes require it. Thanks!

Character limits are for the birds!
I'm now a pretty heavy user of Ning, managing a group of about 500 people. I'm frustrated about the character limits in place all over Ning:

    • 200 character limit on messages to attendees of an event (not nearly enough to relate a change in event details)
    • 2000 character limit on broadcast messages (this is communication with membership and should not be limited)
    • character limit on description of a Group. No indication that there is a limit, so when the description is displayed, it's truncated and there's no way to see the full text.

Please get rid of character limits everywhere, or make them something workable, like 5000.
These are issues hindering communication, which ostensibly is what Ning is all about!

Frustrating, lengthy attempts to correct a billing error on their part
I bought some premium services with Ning (getting rid of ads, etc.) but then cancelled the same day when I found out my parent organization would pay the costs. Instead of a charge and a credit on my statement, I see 2 charges (no credits). Parent org has also been charged.

Rather than simply credit my account as I've requested, they require an appointment for us to resolve this. They refuse to leave a callback number, so when I've missed their call I'm put back into the loop of setting up another appointment.

It's coming up on a month now that I've been trying to resolve this problem, and I am very frustrated! Give me my money back, Ning!
