yeah but there's sth more here, I also encountered this. I think it happens when you don't explicitly shut your device down. The stand-by (which doesn't really make your device start-up a lot faster) eventually completely discharges your battery...
very annoying if you do a check before you pack your stuff an than leave with your device in stand-by instead of having it powered off.

why not simply sell it and look out for a 120g version..? Of course you'd lose some money, but you will do this anyway as its really not Tonium's problem and it would be a lot easier, probably for both of you - for Tonium of course but for you as well.

could it be that you downloaded the let's mix editor...? I think this one does not support the PMD (remember having seen this somewhere here on GS). you have to use the pacemaker editor from http://pacemaker.net/Products/Editor/

I also would appreciate a little more focus on PMD issues... The site looks perfectly fine and it certainly took a lot of time, blood and sweat to develop.

But as Shawn said, sharing mixes is not something that made Tonium so GREAT for me, it was their device! I (would) find it rather disappointing that (if) the focus continously shifted towards a device-independent online community... To be honest, I even think the software provided is completely unsuited to create proper mixes.

I would LOVE to see a bit more development / support for the device, there are so many unadressed issues that could be improved...!

Have you people actually tried? PME & PMD do work for me on a W7 64bit. As 8OR15 I also have to turn on the device before I connect to have it detected, but this already was the same on my previous system (XP)...
