Latch started following the question "Why can't I delete a certain screenshot?" in Orange Peel Media.

I think both Mahesh Asolkar and Cameron Walters got this. This is a mode called "caret browsing" that's used for keyboard-only navigation.

As Mahesh Asolkar suggested, this mode can most easily be toggled with the F7 key - when it's on, a cursor's displayed, and a lot of navigation behaviors work differently to make keyboard navigation sufficiently precise to reach any text or image on the page, save for those that are displayed by a plugin.

You probably turned on 'Caret Browsing' by mistake. F7 key toggles the Caret Browsing mode ON/OFF. It is an accessibility feature documented at http://www.mozilla.org/access/features. – Mahesh Asolkar, on July 16, 2008 19:23

Hey bwoodsdesign,
You are on Windows, I am assuming?
We'll have to look into that.
If you get a chance, take a screenshot of it the next time it happens, and if you find a reason for the problem let us know. – Derek Kehler, on July 07, 2008 15:43

I get this pretty often when using the desktop client and taking a few screenshots one after the other.
The software sends up a VB window with an error that says some function or call didn't load. It basically gives the options that I can continue or quit.
Am using Firefox 2.X when this happens. Just trying to capture a webpage and when I do more than one capture. Say, out of 5 captures it will happen 1 or two times.
I will try to duplicate the error again so I can post the complete message, or else check my logs and see if it's in there.
Thanks

Nope. Still can't delete it. The thing is, the screenshot seems only half-uploaded and so the Edit Details / Delete Screenshot / Add to Favorites ALONG with the source URL and description, do not even show up.
Here again is the link to the actual screenshot in question:

It's not a huge issue, but since I'm using feeds, the bad one will likely show up in the feed's output, which I don't want.
Thanks for your help!

We just dealt with a few bugs in our cookie storage system that may have cause you to be logged out for no reason. It should be fixed now and I assume that's what was happening to you.
Log in to the site and try to delete the screenshot, if you still can't do it. Please post again and I will look into it. Thanks for the post though :)

bwoodsdesign marked one of apenny's replies in MySpace as useful. apenny replied to the question "How do I customize the layout on my page?".
