perhaps you can come at from the hootlet? I imagine if you bring up the persons twitter page and then go to the hootlet, it could detect the page was a twitter user page, and you could have an option there where you follow the person rather than post a link to your own twitter stream.

I have mulitple twitter accounts for different parts of my business. Of course twitter only allows me to log into one at a time. When somebody follow me on an account I am not signed in on its difficult for me to follow them back. I either have to log out, and log back in on the other account, or if I use HootSuites dashboard then I have to search for the follower and then choose to follow them using your follow interface. Problem is if the follower has not tweeted recently they don't come up in a search.

can't validate/complete registration of IM via jabber

Here is the deal, I've entered my jabber id, gotten the code word to send to verify, added twitter@twitter.com as a buddy, but I'm getting a message that says twitter is not authorized yet. The name is greyed out in the buddy list. I've tried iChat and Psi with no joy.

I can't authorize it because I can't sent the code. I can't send the code because I'm not authorized. Catch 22!

Direct authorization link does not work, from Safari, or Firefox. I'm stuck.
