Thanx for the help. But that is not an option.
Since your PBWiki is entirely in english none of the coworkers speaks good english and thereby cannot fill out the signup process.
Changing the key doesn't help either, since it seems someone might have given it away. This eventually will/might happen again.
I'll set up my own mediawiki on some free webspace. But really thanx for explaining it all.
It could be such an easy measurement at PBWiki to name guests as guest only and not add the term "admin" or not to allow to signin with an adminkey without a valid emailadress, but it seems PBWiki simply wants more people signing up and not to make those that sign up happy with the functions. I never thought such an advanced system as PBWiki would have a more thoughtthrough securitysystem.

What I meant by that was how you had said it appeared on your wiki - "Guest (administrator)21 mins ago"
Also, anyone who has the Administrator Invite Key (and if you're using a free wiki, that's the only invite key you currently have available) can enter the wiki, as an Administrator, and they don't have to enter their name or email address.
If you think the Invite Key has somehow been compromised, I recommend you change it immediately.

well, no. that does not sound like an option.
there is only one key, of which i thought it is to secure unknown ppl from loging in and requires an aditional name and emailadress so my coworkers can read it.
however it doesnt make any sense that someone who is not even giving an emailadress is named as ADMINISTRATOR in the recent visitors list.
"guest" would make sense...but no, the wiki names it admin by default.
To me this makes this wiki absolutely useless since i won't be able to figure out who the user is. I cannot convince someone to signup for a pbwiki account whose name and mailadress i don't know.

So, if you're using the wiki password/invite key, what that does is allow anyone who has that key access to your wiki. If you have a free wiki, the only key you have set is the Admin one, and if one of your coworkers used that but did not also enter a name/email, they may show up as a guest. If you have a premium wiki, you can set up invite keys for different levels - one for people you just want to read the wiki, another for people you want to be able to edit, but not delete pages, and then an admin one. However, if again, they don't also enter their name/email, they will show up as "guest reader" or "guest editor" or something along those lines.
My recommendation is to have your coworkers sign up for PBwiki Accounts, and then use the invite key to get their account access to the wiki, and then any time they make an edit, their name will show up automatically. See this topic for more info on accounts: http://getsatisfaction.com/pbwiki/top...

PBwiki!: administrator login? Guest (administrator)21 mins ago : 'No contact info for this administrator from 79.223.25.202.'Several times a day the "recent visitors" list in my passwordprotected Wiki says:
Guest (administrator)21 mins ago
w00t? GUESTS in a passwordprotected Wiki? And no...it doesn't even have an emailadress assigned to it.
The other users asked me either to delete the Guest-Access or the Wiki.
What is that???
'No contact info for this administrator from 79.223.25.202.'
HELP. Please.
