All Mail folder reports unread message count incorrectly.I have Postbox connected to two Gmail IMAP accounts. After sending or receiving email, the "All Mail" folder reports unread messages incorrectly. When I click on the folder, however, the unread count disappears.
My guess is that Postbox is seeing messages that have been archived or sent and reporting them unread, until the messages are actually loaded in a detailed view, at which point they're recognized and marked as read.

Postbox does not respect system-wide Date & Time settings on Mac OS X.I have my Mac configured via the Date & Time preference pane to use a 24-hour clock. It would be nice if Postbox recognized this setting and formatted times accordingly. If it's not possible for Postbox to access this preference, please consider making 24-hour time a user-configurable setting.

Configurable keyboard shortcuts. It seems like Postbox currently supports a mix of Mac/Windows-style shortcuts (that require a modifier key like Command or Ctrl) and Gmail-style shortcuts (that don't). Some users may want to adjust these keyboard shortcuts, particularly for consistency with the tools they're most familiar with. Please consider making shortcuts configurable.

Gathered messages aren't sorted chronologically. After clicking "Gather" on a message, the resulting view (in the style of a thread summary) displays the related messages in no particular order. Please modify this view to respect the mail.conversation_display.reverse setting, and display the messages in whichever chronological direction the user has configured.
A sensible default, however, would be oldest to newest, scrolled to the message the user decided to "gather" from.

Clicking the Junk button does not move mail into the Junk folder unless adaptive junk mail controls are enabled.I have my accounts configured to move new junk messages to the Junk folder. However, I've disabled adaptive junk mail controls because they were returning an extremely high rate of false positives.
When I click the Junk button in the toolbar to mark a message in my inbox as Junk, the message is flagged as such but remains in my inbox. According to the setting under Junk Settings, the message should be moved to my Junk folder as soon as it's marked as junk.
I assume that the current implementation only considers new, unread inboxes messages as candidates to be moved to the Junk folder. Please change this behavior to respect non-new, read messages in any folder. Whenever and wherever a message is marked as junk, it should obey the setting and be moved to the Junk folder.

Widescreen view (message content in its own column). An option to configure the interface to resemble Mail.app with the Letterbox plugin installed would be fantastic. For users with widescreen monitors this is a much more efficient use of space.-

Right now, I'm really enjoying Postbox. But conversation view is what has me fleeing back to Gmail several times a day. If you've already got the mechanics in place with "Gather", just automate it!
I can see the headline now on tech news sites everywhere: "Finally, A Desktop Email Client With Gmail-style Conversations". You'd make a ton of people very happy.
Aaron Harp's reply to "Real conversation view" was just promoted to the most useful! Alex Payne and 4 other people think it's one of the best replies.
I currently use a Fluid.app browser for Gmail. I've tried multiple desktop clients for the seamless integration with the OS, but I always return to using Gmail for the conversation view. It's way more efficient than any other way of displaying messages. Instead of going back and forth between folders and scrolling down long lists of emails, everything is right there for you. While Postbox has the "Gather" feature, the extra step is a hassle (and it doesn't group enough of my emails). If Postbox wants to be a strong competitor in the email client market they need to work on better implementation of this.-

I'll throw in another manual vote against this idea, since Satisfaction doesn't allow me to do another other than vote for it in an automated way.
Please, please, please keep Postbox focused solely on email. It's a big enough problem without trying to add calendaring into the mix. It should be telling that calendars are kept separate from both Apple and Google's respective email offerings. Light integration is fine (ie, find potential calendar events and hand them off to a calendaring app), but anything more than that gets hairy.-
