The trouble I'm having is that ping.fm won't update my facebook status when the ping contains a picture. If the ping is just text, then it updates my Facebook status. This is new (it did not used to be like that). Any idea why?

I noticed that when I send a text-only message, ping.fm updates my Facebook status, but if I include a picture in the ping, it does not update my Facebook status (it just posts the picture to my Facebook stream, but leaves the status at the top as it was before). Can I make Ping.fm update my Facebook status with the text that includes the ping.fm media link like it used to?

Sounds like a really easy fix for the company would be to distribute the XMarks installer as an .exe instead of an .msi

Windows 7, 32-bit, fresh install. My account is listed as an Administrator. When trying to install Xmarks for IE, received the following message:

"The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files\Xmarks. The installation cannot continue. Log in as administrator or contact your system administrator."

Since the XMarks installer is an .msi file instead of a .exe file, I cannot right-click it and select "Run as Administrator" because the option is not available for .msi files. I also cannot use the Compatibility Settings to tell Windows 7 to always run the installer as an Admin, because that option is not available in the properties of .msi files.

Shouldn't be necessary anyway, as I'm already an admin.

Ping.fm sometimes not posting to Twitter

Normally my posts go to Twitter, but lately (10/20 and 10/21) some of my posts just didn't get posted to Twitter. Is there something I'm doing wrong? What does ping.fm do for Twitter posts if the length is longer than 140 characters (truncate?). Is there a log of success/failure in posting somewhere so I can go look what happened to my missing Twitter posts from ping.fm?
