Yes, I had that thing happen on my media page as well where when I clicked on the photos I would end up on someone else's media page. But it looks like ping.fm has fixed that part of it... my media page is back to normal again. I just hope they find the cause so it won't happen again. Thanks :) – Cadill, on May 20, 2009 01:04

Cadill asked a question in Ping.fm on May 18, 2009 22:05:
Ping.fm posted someone else's picture as mine!Ping.fm posted a link to someone else's picture instead of mine. I sent a status update via email saying "Feeling punchy" with a picture of a dinosaur, and the link that ping.fm created points to someone else's picture of an iPod or something instead of the picture I sent. Here is what it posted:

Posted: 35 minutes ago
Method: Status update

The text is mine, but the picture is from "priscilla yacoub". I don't know who she is, but she's not me.
Now I'm kind of scared of using Ping.fm ... what should I do???
A comment on the problem "Problem with FireEagle integration?" in Brightkite:
Hi DIH,
To make Fire Eagle really useful, the services I use (such as Brightkite) need to be able to read my location from it, so if I use another service to update my location (such as the GPS on my phone which can update Fire Eagle automatically), all the other services I use will automatically know where I am.
Ideally, all fire eagle services should be able to both update and read my location from Fire Eagle. – Cadill, on April 15, 2009 12:56

Cadill asked a question in Seesmic on April 07, 2009 13:14:
Twirl - I'm getting notifications for old messages, but I don't want them.Whenever I start up twirl, I always get a whole screenful of old messages, even though I have the option "no notifications for old messages on start" checked for all my services. How do I make twirl stop filling the screen with old notifications every time I start up?-

A comment on the question "what does the ping.fm pipe actually do?" in Pixelpipe:
Two things -- one is Pixelpipe doesn't have the history of images I've sent through Ping.fm, so I'd like to keep them going through there for historical reasons. But even more importantly, Ping.fm's picture pages render correctly on my Windows Mobile device browser, but Pixelpipe's site seems to be totally unoptimal on a mobile browser (I can't see images at all under IE for Windows Mobile 6.1). So I have to stick with Ping.fm for now. But I love the fact that Pixelpipe has the potential to be so much more flexible (once the kinks with email pipes are worked out). Unlike Pixelpipe, Ping.fm does not let you specify an email address to redirect to. – Cadill, on March 12, 2009 23:38
A comment on the question "what does the ping.fm pipe actually do?" in Pixelpipe:
Brett,
When I set up an email pipe directly to my own gmail address, then send an email to my pixelpipe address with a picture attachment, I receive the an email back from pixel pipe with the subject and attachment, but the body text of the email is empty (missing).
Pixelpipe seems to be stripping out the body of emails I send through it.
Also, if I do not include an image, it doesn't pass the email through at all. – Cadill, on March 12, 2009 23:34
Cadill replied on March 11, 2009 02:26 to the question "what does the ping.fm pipe actually do?" in Pixelpipe:
I tried sending via an email pipe to Ping.fm. The problem now is Pixelpipe only passes the text in the email subject and does not pass on the text in the body of the email to Ping.fm.
The Ping.fm service throws away the text in the subject and only cares about the body, so since the body is empty, I end up with pictures on Ping.fm with no text at all.
Pixelpipe only cares about the subject and throws away the body, and Ping.fm only cares about the body and throws away the subject. So they are incompatible services at this point...
Any hope of getting Pixelpipe to pass both the subject and the body text to all email pipes?

Thanks for your response. All of the services I post to accept text-only posts. Thank you for l looking into it! :) -Cadill – Cadill, on March 07, 2009 21:15
