Kathy Jacobs asked a question in Twitter on September 23, 2008 22:47:
Tweets are not showing in search for last 18 hours +My tweets have disappeared from the search system. Can you tell me why? They were showing up while I was at BlogWorld this weekend, but starting yesterday they stopped showing. None of my tweets have shown there in the last 18 hours, few in the 48.
As you can see from this link, others tweets to me show, but none of mine do:
http://search.twitter.com/search?q=ca... (search)
http://screencast.com/t/YSeUi6vx2 (screenshot of what I see)
Other users have confirmed the same thing, as you can see in that screenshot.
HELP! I depend on twitter to do my work... Need to know what I did to get booted from the search.

New ratings option on companiesThanks for the "I am a customer" and ratings boxes. They are a great addition. Love it!

What about setting up a sort on Plurkers with the most replies? Those people are definitely interesting (by dint of the @ of people responding to the comments). Yes, it could still be tweaked by someone who replies to posts just to get them on the list. But at least that would require effort on the part of the plurker.
bronsont's reply to "Plurk Buddy Products!" was just promoted to the most useful! Kathy Jacobs and 4 other people think it's one of the best replies.

Kathy Jacobs replied on July 24, 2008 00:08 to the problem "Saving to .xls in Excel 2007 increases the file size by 5x" in Microsoft Corporation:
It will happen with most files. The new file type is a much more compact set of files that are then zipped together. When you back save, the graphics and features for both versions are put together in the old format.
One way to think about it is to think back to the changes when Office 97 came out. The compression rate for the new file type is another level better - but for the old programs to read it, both sets of information have to be there.

A comment on the discussion "User Ombudsman, not Evangelist" in Plurk:
I would recommend that you check out Betsy Weber's attitudes on the role of a community advocate. She is the TechSmith Evangelist. If you need to get connected to her, let me know. She has taught me much about how the role really works. – Kathy Jacobs, on July 18, 2008 22:24
Kathy Jacobs replied on July 18, 2008 22:23 to the discussion "User Ombudsman, not Evangelist" in Plurk:
Do you consider me a schmoozer? I hope not. I want the job not because I want to get on thier good side. I more want it so that I can give teh community a voice. I want to offer people a line of communication that works.
BUT I also want to be clear - no matter who is the community manager (anywhere), there will be information they have to provide that seems like repeating the company line. Sometimes, users have to have patience and give tools time to grow.-

Yes. Yes, And Yes.
I have spent the better part of my professional career "asking the hard questions". As an MVP, I see my role to show people how good OneNote is, but also to make sure the product teams know what doesn't work and what is important to the community. Ask any of them, I do both parts quite well :)
In fact, the introduction to my first book was written by a member of the PowerPoint team at Microsoft who wrote about me (in part) "No, she doesn't make my life easier, she makes PowerPoint's customer's lives easier."
(In other words, I am loud - proud - and willing to do what it takes to make products work the way customers need them too.)
