Songbird won't play nice with my Sansa Clip

I've got a 4GB Sansa Clip, and whenever I try to use it with songbird, it won't let me sync any artists with names that begin with R.
as in R.E.M., Relient K, etc.
also, it sync'd four copies of every playlist I had.

I haven't had a chance to mess around with 7digital too much, but I'll try once I get home from vacation.

Where does songbird save playlists?
I made a playlist, and since songbird doesn't play nice with my Sansa Clip, i went into winamp, but couldn't find the playlist anywhere.

Songbird 1.1 is pretty much the awesomeness.

Songbird is great, I'm really liking 1.1 and the integrated music store, which finally might give iTunes a run for its money. I also like the addons and built-in web browser.
