Got the new cable plugged it in and straight off it worked a treat. Ok + down arrow and history is dumped. Just one question if I can. I have two clamps as I have a type of duel tariff. How would I be able to see the two lots of data on there own?
You see we have storage heaters and they have their own rate of charge which is different to the day/night rates the rest of the electric is charged at. It comes into the property in a separate wire hence the second clamp.
I guess the question is does my XML split the data or bunch it? Not sure will need to investigate.

So after playing with this some more last night I have found that the wire (USB side) was not soldered securely and one of the three has come lose. I temporarily joined it and it worked! First time it worked. So after all that is was the wire and maybe not the driver at all. I am waiting on a new wire (don’t have a soldering iron to fix this one) and then I will get back to it. Not happy right now I can tell you.

Vista 64 Possible Driver Problem, error 'Access is denied'Vista problem for me. 64 bit version. Have got the driver from here http://www.cooldrives.com/wividrforpr... and it installed ok. I can see in device manger 'Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM7)' it says it is working correctly. I have installed CurrentCost 0.9.28 and when I do Download history>Download once>Download via serial port it give me this error.
current cost serial exception: could not open port com7: (5, 'CreateFile', 'Access is denied.')
I am thinking its the driver, can any one sugguest a driver that will work for Vista, the driver I have is version 3.2.0.0 and is dated 31/7/2007.
Also I have very little experience working with COMs ports, I run vista so don't have windows hyper terminal so can anyone suggest a simple to use and small (clean) program to check if I am getting anything from the CC128 at all.
thanks
