Double-click an empty line to add a transaction?I was watching my wife enter new lines in the transactions, and I wondered how many people try this: instead of clicking the "+" button at the bottom, she double-clicks the next empty line. She tries this several times, then realizes it's not working and looks around for what she's missing.
Would it make sense to make double-clicking on the "next empty line" do the same thing as clicking on the "+" button?

What's the best way to use a shared moneyGuru file?My wife and I each have a laptop with moneyGuru. At the moment, we are storing our finances on a Time Capsule (wireless network with a hard drive). This works fairly well--as long as we remember to save and close moneyGuru each time we're done.
Ideally, we would like to have a "lock" placed on the file (in the unix sense) so that we can't accidentally read the file or write the file at the same time (in particular, I'm afraid that at some point, one of us will open the file & make changes, forget to save, and close the laptop... meanwhile, perhaps days later, the other opens the other laptop and opens the old data file, saves, and then loses the saved data when the first laptop saves).
Is there a suggested way to handle this situation?

Is there a better way to match imported data?I import my USAA credit card transactions with one big QIF file that, unfortunately, cannot be give a date range during export (USAA simply assumes that you want the last 5 or 6 months of data).
When I import this file, I am given the usual import dialog box, but it appears that I have to manually connect each transaction in moneyGuru with each transaction in the incoming file. In order to accomplish this manual connecting, I must drag and drop each line (hundreds of lines) individually. Is there a better way to be doing this? Thanks!
Duane Johnson replied on August 06, 2009 02:23 to the question "moneyGuru 1.4 feedback" in Hardcoded Software:
I would appreciate a sort feature, as I found myself expecting it today. Here was my particular use case: I have imported data from my credit card account, and I also have SOME of my transactions manually entered. The dates do not necessarily line up (e.g. the credit card company may be slow to register the transaction and it may end up on another day--this happens with my checks, too). Thus, I wanted to sort by "increase" (dollar amount) to find any transactions with a similar or exact same price, which in this case would have yielded a duplicate transaction for me.

Sandy doesn't understand "early afternoon"Sandy doesn't understand "early". I wrote "Remind me to call mom in the early afternoon" and she categorized it as an afternoon reminder to "call mom in the early". Can this be fixed?
Thanks!
