Hi Lisa,
Our video on demand library (http://www.mediabistro.com/ondemandvi...) and self-paced courses (http://www.mediabistro.com/selfpaced) are two great ways to get a feel for what our continuing education program offers.
Let me know if you have any questions about them.

Hi Lisa, in a few months, you'll be a part of the professional pool, so I welcome you to join us then. You can even get a head start with any of our continuing education courses that fit your interests.
In New York, we have parties a few times per year for recent college graduates. Please register on our site and check off the categories that interest you and you'll receive information about related events and offerings. (Just sign up for the Media Happenings email and Party Invites).
Thanks for reaching out to us.

Hi Beth, we aren't offering that seminar in LA yet. But I have good news: We have a new four-week online class that's a very thorough Introduction to Event planning taught by Laura Lachman, who's worked as an events manager for Vogue.

I hope you can join us for the class!

carmen replied on January 06, 2009 15:53 to the question "Class transcripts, please" in mediabistro.com:
Thanks for the suggestion. Do you know about our video library, Mediabistro On Demand?
http://www.mediabistro.com/ondemandvi...
They're essentially visual transcripts of our best panels, speakers, and tutorials. You can access the whole shebang for $25 and each video comes with a Crib Sheet that summarizes the information and provides links to resources.
Hope that helps

Dear Job Seeker,
I'm so glad you wrote. We have a very active volunteer program for people with limited funds. If you volunteer at our events, you get to come to them for free and earn credit toward our courses. Just email me (carmen AT mediabistro.com) with your special skills (photography, ushering, etc) and we'll add you to our volunteer list.

Erin, I'm so happy you liked the seminar! A message board for our courses is a great idea. We're currently exploring plans for features like that in our ed dept. In the meantime, I recommend starting a thread in our overall forum here.

You'll get feedback from past students and other people from our community.
In the meantime, let me know your question and I'll get an answer from your instructor, pronto.
Thanks for the bonus course idea for Online Producers (of the future). We'll try to make it happen.
