I already use foobar2000 for playback and love it, it is a very good and slim player. But itunes replacement it ain't..

Having said that: I totally appreciate the Songbird Team's efforts and looking forward to new releases (and getting rid of itunes, laggard extraordinaire on my quad-core 8gig machine).

How about a lean and mean Songbird, that is less demanding of CPU and RAM?
It would be nice to be able to subtract features for less clutter and less memory/cpu overhead. Maybe a Songbird Slim version? A lean and mean itunes replacement perhaps?
