Carsten started following the question "Hi, are users able to get an OPML of all the feeds that they subscribe to?" in Brightwurks.
Carsten replied on March 12, 2009 09:39 to the question "Is it possible to merge my openid account with my Buxfer account" in Buxfer:
I'd like to see this coming soon too. I use OpenID whereever possible, but now I'm force to stay with my old buxfer login.
I wouldn't mind if it requires me to do a dedicated action: log in with my buxfer account, click a special page and enter my OpenID. Doesn't have to go automagically when I login with OpenID. ;-)
A comment on the idea "Remove deleted posts (faster?)" in hashtags:
Maybe hashtag should allow users to request an update on their own posts. Or at least request complete deletion of an account via direct message from the connected service. – Carsten, on March 03, 2009 18:08-

Carsten reported a problem in Delicious Monster on January 28, 2009 07:04:
Umlauts in FTP export are brokenI tried to export my library to a FTP and when I opened it in my browsers (both Firefox and Mobile Safari) the german umlauts are broken. This applies to titles AND details, so the information text for the books are almost useless (too many umlauts, too many broken stuff inside).
A comment on the idea "Determine twitter location to update book details" in bkkeepr:
True, the parsing of the location thing would be really annoying. I'd do it in a simple approach and feed the location to a geolocator (maybe the Google thing) and see if there is a valid result coming back. If so, I'd take it and get the country information. If no valid result is there, I'd use the amazon.com stuff.
I read that you plan to setup real user profiles at some point in the future. That would help fix the language issues... ;-)
Anyway, setting up a bkkeppr.de would do it too. Maybe it's a simpler approach. If you need help translating your stuff, feel free to contact me. :-) – Carsten, on January 07, 2009 06:32

Determine twitter location to update book detailsAs I'm from Germany, amazon.com doesn't have information about some of my books. And bkkeepr doesn't fill the information on my "recent" books page correctly. Maybe bkkeepr can get the location from my twitter account and try to determine the correct amazon source to fill book details.-

Comment on booksI'd like to have a way to comment on a book, maybe like a public "@bkkeepr [ISBN] [my comment here]" that would be displayed on my books page too.

Get recommendations (and let bkkeepr earn some $)Would be nice to see some book recommendations, maybe fetched from The Big Amazon or the twitter friends who also use bkkeepr. I think no user would be angry to receive a book recommendation (tagged with your Amazon partner ID to earn you some bucks) when finishing a book. We're all looking for new stuff to read, right?
