Eric Case replied on September 20, 2009 06:37 to the problem "dashes cannot begin or end a domain" in Domainr:
Yep, you're correct—Domainr needs to properly support RFC 1035 to catch stuff like this. I've jotted down a TODO and we'll hopefully get to it soon.
Thanks for letting us know!

Hi Cori,
Domainr's currently telling me that the domain is taken: http://domai.nr/wuddle/with/wuddle.com
See Domainr's Features page for a description of how we check on domain status.
Thanks for checking in,

Eric Case replied on August 31, 2009 21:21 to the problem "says twitter.org is availavle" in Domainr:
Hi Sandeep,
Domainr uses the DNS to check domain registration status, which isn't always 100% correlated with whois data - see the Status section of our Features page for a more detailed explanation of why. In this case, twitter.org has been registered (see whois), but there's no site there and its web DNS entries are empty.
Thanks for checking with us,
-Eric

Eric Case replied on February 11, 2009 20:04 to the question "Automatically Import Bank Data" in Less Everything:
Fear of the password antipattern, and the fact that our accounting volume isn't very large yet - doing it manually hasn't taken much time.
We're gonna stick with it though because we trust your software, and know we'll need to switch to it at some point...
Thanks Steve!
