demartini was the man's name. he passed on a couple of years ago, not before selling his bag design to MP and his name to an outfit either in nj or connecticut. try demartinibags.com – xypher, on July 08, 2008 21:26

Yes, the DeMartini's did sell Globe Canvas messenger bags in Chinatown and those were made specifically for Bike Messengers. We were the first messenger bag manufacturer to make our bags out of Cordura, which is a Military grade fabric.
Unfortunately Mr. DeMartini has been retired for nearly a decade, and I do not believe his products are made any longer (I could be wrong, however).
"Original Messenger Bags from NYC" is a tag line of ours, and I do not believe this to be false, as we did provide many firsts. There are a lot of messenger bags companies that have come and gone, and we are one of the few that are still around!

I have the same problem, XP SP2 on a PC, with a MyBook Essential (500Gb). I have been trying for months to correct this now, ti runs OK for days and then disappears.
I have been through the WD helpdesk, they did give me a new file to download to 'fix it', it became a hassle too and did nothing.
When it happens, I can disconnect the power cable to the drive, replug it in, and then after around 2 mins it will reboot and be visible...until the next time.
I have been trying to work out what might be causing it and think it might be one of my virus busters, maybe sensing it to be án issue' and deleting it. I'm still working on it, but am thinking at the moment it might even be Zone Alarm. Would like to know if anyone else finds anything further, its driving me nuts.

The Chumby doesn't connect through your computer at all—it uses your wireless internet connection, so it doesn't matter if your computer is on or off. It must be powered on in order for the alarm to work; however, it does include a "night mode" that produces very little visible light, so it shouldn't be a distraction if you're trying to sleep.
The content on your Chumby is delivered from the Chumby website—you can customize it using your account online.
