Hi DeeCo
I'm seriously impressed with what you've done to make your house so energy efficient - and wonder if you'd be willing to share your experience on the new website: http://www.yougen.co.uk I've just developed. It's a portal which aims to bring together people interested in energy efficiency and renewable energy to help each other and share what they've learned. We've also got experts in the field adding regular blog posts on their subject area.

Hi Catherine
I agree with you. While it's a compelling addition to the already numerous examples of 'I have a nightmare', what would be much better is if more energy was put into creating 'I have a dream' stories: visualising what society could look like if we did this and that. Then people might have something to inspire them to action, rather than scaring them rigid.
I know some people are working on visions of the future - The Transition Timeline is a good example of this - but if as much energy was to go into this as goes into painting pictures of doom we might be able to all start on a journey, knowing where it is we want to end up, rather than where we don't want go.
I'm also slightly worried about the campaign that goes with Age of Stupid. Labelling things 'stupid' and 'not stupid' doesn't necessarily seem the best way to start a dialogue and engage people with change. Rather a sure fire way of being told where to go.

just entered my readings and found that all the things I liked - ie costs for this week, comparisons with other 2 person households & ability to change what I compared with - were gone. Please bring them back, they are what make this interesting. Also the likelihood of me remembering to take my readings on the same day every week is minimal - I liked the facility to say how many days late it was.
