It might be a Flash issue... but as I said the cHipMunk problem is not new... it is well documented but it is known to be FLash independant... it depends on the properties of the audio file itself..

I will need some time to test this... will get back

I don't see how it could play poorly on some people's machine/browser combos and not others. Perhaps it's a different version of Flash on their machine? Do have different versions of Flash to test with? (I don't, but I'm not a QA guy). Also, I'm sad it took us 16 days to get a reply.

I am not sure what the issue is... we tested on IE7, FF, Opera, Safari on Windows, Safari on Mac, Ff on Mac- it works fine....

If our understanding of the chipmunk effect is correct, its a property of the audio file and not of the browser...

feel free to follow up, i'm using the workaround via mozilla.

(use that new round of funding to test this!)

I use IE6 because that's what my company uses. I also have a secret url. It looks like the same problem to me.

I've had two of our blog readers report the audio on this slidecast sounded like chipmunks. One used Firefox, the other IE, both on PCs, so far as I can tell. I cannot reproduce the issue on my Mac with Safari 3 nor FF. No problems on IE7/XP either.

No we have not withdrawn support to IE6; IE6 is used by almost 50% of our users, so there is no question of withdrawing that...

I'm actually not sure what the problem might be... this is very strange... we've never encountered this.

Can you create a new account on slideshare, upload slideshows, syn it, view it on IE6 etc . Does it work?

the blog says that slideshow editing is fixed, but is not working for me this morning....

i'm losing patience- I have people on my team waiting to edit slideshows for use, and the information flow is, well, BAD. if there is a known issue, it needs to be posted on slideshare.com, not some blog.
