When I worked for WAMU, and the bank they bought Great Western, we were always told that fees are what often makes the difference.
When I was working for Great Western, based in Los Angeles, they even started an expansion into Watts with the stated position that the branches would be profitable since poor people tend to have lots of overdrafts.
WAMU was different five years ago. They were good to the employees and morale was high. Now they've moved to a model of making the employees afraid that they will those their job and morale has plummeted. I can count something around 20% of the people that were in my department resigning or retiring because of the negative attitude that the company has adopted towards workers. Two out of four of my first level of management resigned in protest over changes in employee reviews (they forced managers to submit failing reviews regardless of employee performance).-

How come as a retiree, entitled to free banking, I keep getting a service charge?I keep getting a $20 service fee on my checking account even though I'm a WAMU retiree.
I've called customer support several times, as well as my branch, several visits to my local branch office, Human resources and a number for the head office ombudsman.
I keep hearing that WAMU has free checking for the public, and the employee manual says retirees get free banking...How to I find the right person to stop fees from being charged? -

why does firefox terminate when using google search?I see on the Mozilla site that others are having the same problem. I made no changes to firefox (2.0.0.9). I came home today, having left my PC on, and suddenly firefox is abending as soon as I do a serch. I tried what the Mozilla site suggested and still no luck. I did a remove progam, deleted the directory and did a new install. Still dieing on me.
Anyone on the google side of the aisle have any suggestions? -
