Well getting an arrow with 0 points is better than not getting it at all, so until you can get them softly without losing them, you kinda have to put up with getting 0 on some.

Keep in mind there are different ways to "shake" the device... even if you can get the other ones, it doesn't mean you're necessarily shaking in the best possible way. – Ceegers, on September 03, 2009 21:40

there's a couple more songs with the same name on the leaderboard twice as well (not sure which ones at the moment).

How bout a little more details? Such as what do you already have on your device, and what folders you are clicking on to find the new music?

One more thing I just thought of: if all you did was click on "free tracks" and then "new music" and then you get nothing showing up (just a black section)... That most likely means your wifi connection is iffy or slow... or possibly that the tapulous servers are being iffy or slow.
Just the way you worded your question, I'm suspecting this is the case.
So check your wifi, try it on another wifi... I bet you'll get to it eventually :)

However... I also feel like I have done it without the notes dropping... I'm not sure what the difference was though...

I just tried it right now, and I could get all three arrows to register green.

Shakes are one of the trickiest things to get a good hang of. There are a number of things that might be considered a "shake", and some of them aren't necessarily what the device/game is actually looking for. It takes a bit of experimentation to get it down.
Shaking too hard on the left arrow is indeed going to get you the right arrow too early, because the device's insides are still shaking too much lol. Doing some accurate soft shakes is pretty much the only way you can get green on them all.

From my experience, I think a correctly-done soft shake can get you arrows about 98% of the time. A hard shake can maybe increase that to 99%, but then the last 1% it really doesn't matter what you do, you just aren't going to get the arrow :P

I also occasionally wonder why it takes some hard shakes to enter revenge mode... but I'm not always confident I'm doing correct shakes... not really sure...

Hmmm... ok, so I was on earlier today and everything was back to normal, with everything that had previously disappeared showing up again.

However, checking again right now, it's back to only 1 entry???? lol it's flip-flopping
