@Dan Thanks, good to know. Will you be erroring out the http version when you've got SSL going? – ceejayoz, on October 16, 2009 21:04
A comment on the idea "Use Flickr as an image service" in atebits:
Doesn't matter of nclud is reputable - they're providing an insecure http endpoint, not a secure https one, which means one has to worry about everyone in between, too. IMO, Tweetie's custom end point should ONLY support https for everyone's protection. – ceejayoz, on October 16, 2009 19:41-

Tweetie 1.0 should be removed from the App Store or made free. Charging $2.99 for version 1 when the non-upgradeable version 2 is coming out within weeks is rightfully going to cause quite a bit of backlash.

make Tweetie iPhone 1.0 free (or remove from App Store) to avoid people feeling scammed.

An obsolete 90 mhz computer may still work, but you'd be mad if someone sold it to you for the price of a modern one. – ceejayoz, on September 29, 2009 12:50

@Viviane I believe you're limited in the number of those codes you can give out. CNet says 50. http://download.cnet.com/8301-2007_4-... – ceejayoz, on September 28, 2009 22:22

A comment on the question "Purchasing obselecence" in atebits:
Refunds are problematic, sure, but it's possible to change an iPhone app's selling price on-the-fly. I've seen hundreds of apps do so - "on sale for $1.99 instead of $4.99" etc. – ceejayoz, on September 28, 2009 22:14
