Cennydd Bowles replied on November 15, 2009 14:06 to the problem "Tweetie 2 keep repeating my tweet all by itself." in atebits:
Glad to know I'm not alone. Tweetie2 crashed while I was trying to post a tweet. Now, every time I open the app, it posts that tweet before doing anything.
It's highly embarrassing and unfortunately the bug makes Tweetie2 unusable. I've deleted and reinstalled the app, to no avail.
I do hope this bug can be fixed asap. There are many other bugs, as highlighted elsewhere in GS, but this is a show-stopper that means I simply cannot use the app.-

Cennydd Bowles replied on July 15, 2009 16:35 to the problem "We need this for windows..............." in Clearleft:
We're not ruling it out, but it's not in our plans right now I'm afraid. Mac hardware is generally less varied; we can usually rely on an iSight camera and so on. A Windows version would need to be substantially more flexible and would therefore take substantially more testing, time and money. If there's sufficient demand at a later date we may look into it.

Cennydd Bowles replied on November 24, 2008 18:20 to the idea "Stop asking for Twitter passwords" in Get Satisfaction:
Seriously? I'm a big fan of Get Satisfaction and don't mean to cause offence, but I'm amazed you feel we need research to disprove such an obviously wrong practice.
Users should never give a web app password to another web app. It's that simple. The banking industry, which knows a great deal more about user security than the web industry, follows exactly this practice. They implore users never to reveal their PIN to anyone, and refuse to cover losses caused by ignoring this advice.
The ideal solution is to continue to pressure Twitter to support OAuth, but this really needs the help of third parties rejecting the unpleasantness of the password anti-pattern. It'd be great if Get Satisfaction could be part of this movement.-
