That looks like your external IP address. You're going to need to direct the bulletin to the internal IP address of the live streaming server, as the Player pulls from the live streaming server internally on the network.

After talking with Greg & Chad, it turns out that this particular issue was related to the playback of 44.1kHz audio files, which our SX servers don't support.

The resolution to this was to have them run the files in question through FixMpeg, which will change the audio to 48kHz. You can find FixMpeg at http://trms.github.com/fixmpeg

Yikes! That would indeed lead to issues with the video output. Good catch!

The FrontDoor 5.3.3 and Cablecast 4.8.4 updates do indeed have changes that will enable AJAX to pass through other ports, so you should now be able to setup SSL on your system. Let us know how it goes!

You can schedule programs back to back on the same output as long as they're trimmed to size, meaning there is no cue time needed on the file. (Cablecast 5.0 will allow back to back with cue times, but the current autopilot logic doesn't handle it well.) The only other limitation I can think of is that there is a minimum show length of five seconds, so be sure any quick station IDs are at least five seconds long.

An iisreset or a restart of the web server should resolve this issue. Did you get it taken care of? FYI we've spent some time tracking down the cause of this and hope to have it resolved in a future release.

You've stumbled across a known issue with the current version of the code. We'll have that fixed in Cablecast 4.8.4!

In the mean time, the easiest way to delete that file is to restart the server, and delete the file after reboot.

Windows 7 seems to have broken quite a few methods we use in our software, I've been having trouble with Carousel ScreenSaver in Windows 7 as well. The development team is aware and we hope to have a fix in the near future!

You should have no issues getting that to work if you feed your local radio station into the line input on the back of your Carousel unit. (The blue 1/8" stereo mini jack)

You'll also need to set the background audio settings to use the line input (Configure : Channel : <your> : Background Audio Settings) and connect the green line output from the Carousel to the audio input of the routing switcher.
