Hi,
I was posting my blog entries on my Facebook profile using the Notes feature... I have had a blog on MSN spaces for a few years now and was using the RSS feed. (I only add an entry once in a while... I haven't been a daily poster until this happened)
For some reason, it had double posted some of my albums from the blog and I got the pink box of doom and my ability to post notes cut off for a day. In that time, I deleted the excess and deleted many of the entries. Once I was back, I reestablished the RSS feed and was immediately disabled. Only then did I recieve this:
"Hi,
Our systems indicate that you've been misusing certain features on the site. This email serves as a warning. Misuse of Facebook's features or violating Facebook's terms of use may result in your account being disabled . Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
If you have any questions, please contact warning@facebook.com from your login email address.
The Facebook Team"
"May result"? Try "Did result"! What is this abuse? I was using a feature that they encourage you to use. Many of my friends (who I have recently gotten back into touch with after losing them over the years) are upset that they've lost easy access to my mommy ramblings and silly nature pics.
I've followed some of your advice and written to the posted email addresses. It's been 6 days now and no response other than this, a few minutes after the cut off and my first email:
"Hi,
The Facebook Team has received your inquiry. We should get back to you soon. In the meantime, we encourage you to review our Terms of Use (http://www.facebook.com/terms.php) for more information.
Thanks for contacting Facebook,
The Facebook Team"
Is there still hope? I think I've been more than patient... I've even moved my blog to a more user friendly host in the meantime.

It has been a week now and facebook has not responded to any of my emails. As of this evening, I sent some new ones and four of them were now returned to me as undeliverable. This was the first time in the past week that this has happened. My husband has also written facebook on my behalf and has not heard back. I am beyond appalled that something like this can happen. As far as I know, I did nothing wrong, but even if I had, at least a warning would have been preferred, as well as an explanation. But absolutely nothing. I almost feel that my 'reputation' is in question because of facebook's deactivating my account, and I think that is a serious attack on my character when nothing has been done. I can't believe the powers that be at facebook are not addressing this. I can't believe we all here are doing such horrible things to warrant our dismissal.
I can't believe how sad this makes me feel, and angry that there is no recourse.

I had the ominous email from FB three days ago saying that an administrator has disabled my site for undisclosed reasons. Despite several emails explaining my situation, I have had no response for FB thus far. I am FURIOUS and UPSET because I don't think I've done anything to warrant this draconian action. All I did was to upload my blog to my notes, delete it and then upload it again about an hour later (after I had made some minor changes to my blog post.) I wasn't even aware that this was against their terms of use - if, indeed, it is. Up to now I have been a great FB evangelist, getting lots of my friends, colleagues and ex-students sufficiently excited about it to sign up themselves. I have also spent many, many hours on it over the past 18 months, uploading photos and writing messages and notes. I had absolutely no idea of how vulnerable I was to the vagaries of FB's administrators. Clearly, that was very naive on my part. (I now know that FB stands for something other than FaceBook too.) I'm really, really hoping that my account is enabled again because it contains information that is very precious to me about how to contact people I have got back in touch with through FB after many years of having lost contact. I'm grateful to them for that. But, if and when my account is reactivated, I shall spend the time that is necessary to copy all the contact information of my friends and then I shall shut down my own account after emailing all my 564 friends (well, I am a teacher with 25 years' teaching experience!) to tell them of my BAD experience and warning them to do likewise. I am now TOTALLY DISENCHANTED and DISILLUSIONED by FB and I can never trust them again. I resent being treated like some kind of criminal by these arrogant little cyber upstarts and fascists who quite clearly have no respect whatsoever for their users - as the voluminous contents of this discussion powerfully demonstrate.

It's ignorant for them to block all of us from our own accounts without any warnings or anything. It's suppose to be a chat site, etc. Why is there so many rules it's dumb.
All I have to say is that I'm not making a new account and restarting everything back over. And last but not lease Facebook should be delt with and including these so called rules they make up when they just get bored just to screw us over. And Facebook shouldn't even have admins...

I was disabled as well. I have sent emails to all of the sites.
I was posting in discussion boards and that is why I was disabled. (But all postings had mutual communication)
I believe posting in the mob wars discussion boards is what got be disabled since it is common to post links to other peoples pages.
I'm furious with the ambiguous callus and impersonal way they deal with their users and ludicrous that they punish people for socializing on a site designed for socializing.

Hi Steve,
Facebook has limits in place to prevent behavior that other users may find annoying or abusive. These limits restrict the rate at which you can use certain features on the site. Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with the specific rates that have been deemed abusive.
Your account was disabled because you exceeded Facebook's limits on multiple occasions when adding friends, despite having been warned to slow down.
However, after reviewing your situation, we have reactivated your account, and you should now be able to log in. Please be aware that if your account is disabled again, we will not be able to reactivate it. Once logged in, please slow down the rate at which you add friends. We appreciate your cooperation going forward.
Thanks for your understanding,
Stella

Subject: Account Reactivation.
Dear Facebook,
I was disabled for making too many friend requests. I am sorry. I used
Firefox's tabbed browsing feature to add too fast. By the time I
received the warning e-mail it was already too late.
I understand now why these rules are put in place, and if you would
please give me another chance, I will pay attention to my actions during
my time on Facebook.
Please re-activate the Facebook account listed at *****@*****let.org . I
feel lost without it.
Yours hopefully,
Steve Allison

Dear Thor,
Please Help.
Thank you,

Dear Facebook,
It has been 3 days since I first sent you an e-mail. There has been no reply to what is going on. Listen I have been a great user of your service and I haven't violated anything. I never received any warning or anything. This is terribly frustrating especially since it was abrupt and I haven't done anything wrong. Please tell me what I did to suspend service and I will fix it immediately.
Thank you,
Larry Ferguson

Hi
I've been banned for playing a game called Mob Wars, i used the application page to try and encourage people to add me to their mobs and i assume was banned for spamming, i am a normal guy who was just playing a game that Facebook allow on their site, i am unhappy as i have made contact with a lot of friends i have not seen in 10 years and now i have lost their info again, i have sent emails in the last 4 days and am yet to get a reply, i miss the fact that i now have no way of getting hold of people i managed to find after so many years.
I hope i can get back on i have been polite and hope they see i am not a robot spammer just an over eager game player.
Cheers
Mark

I recently got this message on facebook You have exceeded the limit for adding friends! You are temporarily blocked from adding friends. Block times vary depending on the feature and scale of abuse. Blocks cannot be lifted. Misuse of Facebook's features may result in your account being disabled. They gave me a warning to slow down so I waited about a day before sending any more requests then I got the above warning when I added more friends. I can still log in to my account, but my question is what do they mean when the say blocks can not be lifted? Does that mean I won't be able to send friend requests again? How long does this usually last and will my account be permanently disabled?

The facebook people are a bunch of jerks who have nothing better to do with their time but ban people for no reason. A good friend of mine was just banned permanently for posting messages on her friend's walls. She's a kind and generous person and this is just bullshit. No wonder people are resorting back to Myspace.

My account has recently been disabled.
48 Hrs later they have come back to me with a generic email stating that my account will not be reactivated whatsoever and dont bother trying to appeal because their decision is final.
I was apperently deemed as being abusive and adding friends too quickly (this does not mean too many)
Any help or advice on how people approached facebook to get their account back would help me greatly.
Cheers
Bob
