This sounds like a great question. I'm not currently using that feature, but am surprised that 5 months have gone by and no one has offered an answer.

I would add that the reminder should be available with 2 dates or 1 date and 1 offset. I want to enter the date that the bill is due (or at least should post to my bank account), and the date that I should be reminded to either write the check and/or schedule it with my online bill payment service.

I like the idea, but these balance and projection charts display each point as a daily total. To that end, you would have to realize that if you have 15 transactions posting on a particular day, it might be difficult to decide which of those to display.

Perhaps it could abbreviate the display of the top 2 transactions that yielded the biggest gain and the top 2 transactions that yielded the biggest loss for that day.

I'd like to see the ability to add one or two horizontal lines at whatever value we might want- I would like one at $0, but maybe also at $300 as a standard 'buffer' limit.

Budgeting should be extended to support Forward Month Budgeting

I would like the ability to create forward budgets. This way I can plan for perhaps the next 3 months worth of expenses. I appreciate that the budgets automatically project month to month, and that they support Rollover. But in some instances, I know that a given forward month budget will need to have a varying amount, and I don't want to affect my current months' budget. This would certainly need to work properly with the Projections feature for it to be useful.

Budgets should be a named collection of tags, not a single tag.

I may have already posed this idea. But it would be nice of the budgets were not directly related to Tags in a one to one relationship. Instead, it would be nice if you could create and name a budget- and then associate it with whatever collection of tags you wanted to monitor in a budget. (Without having to manipulate the Tags heirarchy, which would disturb the pie-chart reporting that is already arranged how I like it.)

Additionally, it would be nice to have a Notes section for the new Budget object. (And for other objects, such as Account, and Bill Reminders, etc.)

I do agree with Alex. I believe that a budget object should not identify a single tag, but instead be a named collection of tags. I would also like it to support Notes, so that it can be annotated further if necessary.

I agree with this statement wholeheartedly. And add that it would be nice to be able to add Notes to your budget, and create forward budgets for at least the next month.

I agree, and have proposed an idea to buxfer that might allow the budget maintenace page to indirectly support the sort of functionality you are describing.

I'm not sure if this sort of thing will make sense from the budgeting page. For me, when I'm budgeting, I don't care what account is being spent from- I want to simply see how much I'm allowing myself to spend- period.

However, I do agree that each budget should have a 'Target' account that can be assigned. So that the Projections page can do its job properly when projecting out expenses for a given account.

Then again, maybe the magicians at buxfer can make the budget report display an account selector that would allow you to choose which- if any- account you want to report your budget on- based on that Target account.

You could try copying the first transaction to create a new copy of it- and then deleting the first one. I suppose this might cause it to drop back in the order.
