I meant to go back and edit that after posting it this morning, as I did it on the go while moving our car in Chcago; still getting used to the city so I get caught up with stuff.
But actually, most of the UI isn't that strange. You have done a great job of sticking to iPhone conventions; a far better job than most other app devs are doing. The only two strange parts that initially struck me are the bright blue color of your app toolbars (more on that in a sec) and the actual posting window feels wonky. The date and an "Event Title" placeholder seem to float near the top right of the post, and I wasn't sure where to tap to edit the post title, or to get into the body to actually start writing. I think that some kind of divider lines or barriers between these areas would go a long way to add some structure here. Possibly even a very thin 1-3 px line like Mail has between its To/CC/Subject fields.
About the color: the bright blue initially struck me as strange and very un-iPhone like, but after opening LifeCast a couple more times I really like it. I've realized that many other iPhone apps that stick with standard UI practices use the same darker blue toolbars that Apple does in its own apps, which means they all end up looking like each other. I love the color you used now, and I'll go edit that post to clear this up.

Can you simply not offer Tumblr-specific posting features when posting to other blogs? I think a simple rotary/drop-down menu at the top of the posting window in a Tumblr post to switch between post types like text and quote would do the trick, and you could simply hide that menu when posting to other blog platforms. When a quote post type is selected, you could then divide the posting area like Tumblr does; a top area for the actual quote, the bottom for the source.

I would love to see better integration with Tumblr and its various types of posts. For example, I like to post a lot of quotes, and Tumblr (as you may know if you've used it) can distinguish between post types like "text," "quote," "audio," etc. Quotes get a different default styling by the Tumblr system, and it'd be great to be able to integrate with that functionality on the go.

Can you introduce a paid version so we can get rid of the badge?I completely understand that you're trying to get the word out on your app, but I really don't like "posted with [X]" badges in my entries. I'd be much happier to spend $5 on a LifeCast Pro version or something with the option of using that badge (ideally off by default in the paid version) instead of being forced to.-

David Chartier asked a question in Wuala on August 14, 2008 16:42:
How to uninstall from a Mac?I'm running Leoaprd and I need to completely remove Wuala and its data from my machine. I found another discussion here that linked a knowledgebase article in Dutch, but I can't find that same article in English. I find it a little aggravating that a product like this can launch without something as basic as uninstallation instructions.
Any help is much appreciated.

David Chartier replied on August 04, 2008 14:14 to the problem "Can't get DL2 to refresh, resubscribe to iTunes library" in Delicious Monster:
Yes, I'm running a Mac Pro and my iTunes library is housed on a second internal drive, separate from my boot drive. It's always been there, and the original DL2 release worked with it very well.
But even then, I nuked all my DL2 support folders and preferences file, restarted, and opened DL2 fresh with a blank library, and the "subscribe to iTunes library" feature didn't work at all. Could the recent iTunes 7.7.1 update have broken something DL2 needed?
David Chartier reported a problem in Delicious Monster on August 03, 2008 18:29:
Can't get DL2 to refresh, resubscribe to iTunes libraryI'm running DL2 2.0.2 and iTunes 7.7.1 on a Mac Pro with 10.5.4. My 300+ GB library is kept on a second internal hard drive.
When DL2 first came out the "subscribe to iTunes" feature worked well the first time I turned it on. I was able to publish my library to my iWeb site and everything went smoothly.
I haven't run DL2 in a while, but I started it up yesterday due to the 2.0.2 update. Now, though, I can't get DL2 to refresh and see all the new iTunes media I've added in the last month or two. I tried turning the feature off and back on, but then DL2 wouldn't even re-subscribe to my iTunes library anymore.
I recovered a previous version of my DL2 library with the iTunes entries from Time Machine, but I still can't figure out how to get DL2 to refresh media from my iTunes library or start fresh. I've tried deleting both DL2's /Application Support/ folder and preferences file, then starting up DL2 fresh. But even then, the "Subscribe to iTunes library" preference simply doesn't work now.
Is this an issue with iTunes 7.7.1 perhaps? Or did something break in DL2 2.0.2? Any help is much appreciated.

Beautiful iPhone site. Great work!Absolutely love the iPhone site. The layout is great, performance is snappy over WiFi (I'll test later over EDGE when I hit the gym). Bonus points are awarded for hitting the custom iPhone home screen icon.
One request: will it eventually be possible to manage friend requests on the iPhone site?
David Chartier asked a question in Brightkite on May 06, 2008 21:54:
Do Brightkite notes have a character limit?Does Brightkite have an actual limit on character counts in notes? I thought it was unlimited, but the iPhone site says 140.-
