I get unlimited nationwide voice, text, pictures and some video, with voicemail, three-way, 411, web browsing, etc. all for $45 per month flat rate. I had an BIG phone company prepaid phone that had comparatively worse reception, and cost WAY more. Depending on where you are, you can probobly be assured of acceptable service for a deal where you can forget about clocking minutes
