Chris Heald replied on November 21, 2009 22:06 to the idea "REQUEST: Advanced API Filter Options" in blippr:
All very reasonable. Our API right now is a fairly dumb set of alternate views on top of the existing RESTful interface we've built, so it's somewhat brittle. However, we're working internally on cleaning up a lot of that brittleness, and one of the benefits will very definitely be a more flexible API.
I'm not quite sure how to provide something like the "extras" you mention in the context of our code just yet, but we very much recognize that the current structure is less than fantastic. The goal would be to expose just about any data on the site (with the right credentials, of course) in a way that has the least overhead and the most flexibility. We're certainly not there yet, but we're working in that direction.
The next major push of the site is going to see a large number of API changes, since we're streamlining a lot of these various things we've had problems with in the past. One of the goals is to have a much more usable API as a result!

You should be able to look it up at your partner page (for example, http://www.blippr.com/partners/alex). You won't have a key/secret until your site has been approved for syndication (we manually review applications to prevent blogspam), but can use the plugin successfully without it.
If you'll link me to your partner profile, I'll review it right away. :)

Chris Heald replied on November 17, 2009 22:01 to the idea "Editing titles issues" in blippr:
Before an account is considered "mature", it only has edit permissions on nodes it creates - that is correct. Matured accounts can edit any title that hasn't been locked by a moderator. This is, naturally, done to prevent vandalism abuse by throwaway accounts.
I'll double-check the rules for what's considered to be a mature account, though.

A comment on the problem ""Add Movie" not working" in blippr:
"Mark for deletion" is an excellent idea. We've been wanting to give the community more tools to help moderate blippr's content, but obviously giving full delete powers to the internet at large is dangerous. I like the idea.
Can you elaborate on the behavior you were seeing with it "not working"? What point does it slow down and get confusing. I'm afraid I'm so close to the codebase that it seems to work correctly for me, but then, I know what to expect! – Chris Heald, on November 16, 2009 16:35

Just go to http://www.blippr.com/new and you can add items to blippr for others to review. Hope that helps!

This is a problem that we'd thought we'd had fixed, but it seems to have reared its ugly head again. We'll see what we can do to get it addressed.
Interestingly, this problem always seems related to the "perfcangel.blogspot8419" account. We're not quite sure what's special about it, yet, but we'll find out.
Sorry for the trouble!
