CheescakeRecipe replied on April 02, 2009 22:50 to the question "Where Does Songbird 1.1.1 Store Album Art?" in Songbird:
Songbird stores data for album art in
C:/Documents and Settings/(your computer username)/Local Settings/Application Data/Songbird2/Profiles/someweirdfoldername/Artwork.
It may also read album art from the ID3 tags, though I don't know how well it does this because some albums I have tagged are missing art.
Hopefully this helps!

Last.fm performance issues.I recently downloaded the latest release of Songbird after having some trouble with 1.0 in the past. I have to say that I am happy to see performance is better and the issues with my sound I was having previously are gone.
However, I have started to use the built-in last.fm scrobbler with it. And for some strange reason, it only scrobbles a few tracks. I started listening to an album, and it scrobbled the first track, but then after the second track was scrobbled it deleted the first track from the scrobble list. I noticed earlier that it seems the scrobbler is for some reason getting connection issues with last.fm, and now it can't log in to scrobble.
I had a problem with the built in scrobbler earlier, trying to turn it on to scrobble did not work, and I had to turn it on, restart songbird entirely, and listen from there. Seems to me the built in scrobbler is really bugged, and it's a shame because I was hoping to be able to move from winamp to songbird without any further hitches. Any help in figuring out what's going on would be great.

@RadicalPi:
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling 1.0.0 as you suggested but unfortunately the error did not go away.
@Lenny:
I downloaded the latest nightly build and this does allow correct playback from the trouble tracks. Unfortunately none of the add ons are compatible with the nightly build and I get a stutter if changing songs manually that occurs after the first 2-3 seconds. It's only a brief pause but still annoying. This stutter is occuring on songs that were played without errors on 1.0.0 as well.

@Tylerstyle:
I am currently running a Windows XP Professional system with Service Pack 2 installed, 32 bit. I am running an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33ghz, in case dual core processors may be part of the problem.
My music is stored on an external HDD (over 80GB of music alone) with around 20-30GB on this system itself.
@Clamm:
I do not have the error on my other system as I have not used Songbird on my OS X machine. I meant to report that the mp3s do not produce the error on iTunes on my OS X machine, or winamp in Windows. I should have been a little clearer in my wording, but it is early for me and I have not yet had my coffee. Sorry again for any confusion.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I was running the windows client, 1.0.0, Build 860. I was just using my OS X machine as a comparison since I share the same library between several computers.
However, I will provide two songs that produce the errors I experience.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FWQE9B7I
This first one errors at about 6 to 7 seconds in, where the song starts the lyrics. As the phrase "Are we the last..." reaches the word "Last" it repeats out that same "La" syllable for the remainder of the track length. It does it so quickly it almost sounds like an echo chamber. This error is not in all of the tracks from this album, but a majority of them do.

This second song is the song that I get the warble sound produced from. Unfortunately the sound continues through the entire song, and affects the entire album.
CheescakeRecipe reported a problem in Songbird on January 23, 2009 06:40:
Bad mp3 playback only on Songbird.This only happens on certain songs or albums, but I don't know there is a common thread between songs that error. On one whole album, the songs are played with a watery warble effect while in some other cases the song hangs on the same note it messes up on for the remainder of the song.
They are only mp3 format files, bitrates between 192 to 320kb/sec. Some variable bit rate, others constant. Restarting Songbird does not fix the situation, nor does a computer restart. I only have 10-15 albums in my Songbird library as I was just checking it out, and 5-6 of them contain errors only found when played back through Songbird. Winamp and iTunes on my OS X machine play the songs just fine, just not Songbird.
If you can let me know what information to provide you to help out i'll be more than happy to assist to get this bug fixed.
