A comment on the question "Networked applications not working since installing SPF" in Sunbelt Software:
None of that worked. But just as I was about to leave for the evening I get the bright idea of disabling the firewall on the computer I am trying to share with. Presto, no problem. So one-by-one I've gone back and reinstalled SPF, enabled VIPRE, rechecked the Intrusions options, and re-enabled network security module. The applications still work.
So now I suppose I have to apply your suggestions to the other workstation, until I get this to work. I will let you know how it turns out. – Chirodoc, on January 07, 2009 23:46

I tried each of your suggestions - except for one - without any improvement. The one I didn't try was for Windows File and Printer Sharing, because I couldn't find that one listed.
Can you help me locate that?
Thanks. – Chirodoc, on January 06, 2009 19:07
